When Onyi and Cedric set out to bring a coffee shop into one of Onyi’s buildings, they noticed something missing.
Most cafés looked great and served good coffee, but few delivered true hospitality. Not transactional service, but the kind you feel in a five-star restaurant. Every interaction felt routine, not intentional.
So they decided to build something different.
Nūr comes from the Arabic word for “light,” reflecting what we aim to bring into every cup, every interaction, and every moment you spend with us. Simply, to be a light in your day.
To bring this vision to life, we partnered with Jonah Ott, owner of Viewfinder Coffee Roasters. Having a roaster on our founding team means we control our coffee from seed to cup, ensuring every bean and every brew is crafted with precision, consistency, and purpose.
Nūr exists to blend craft, intention, and hospitality, and to elevate coffee into something more meaningful.
